All aboard…the Bluegrass Scenic Railroad that is! Come aboard the train for a day ride out to the Kentucky Gorge River area. Every weekend in October the Autumn Leaves train will stop off at a pumpkin patch for visitors to pick their own holiday pumpkin. Arboretum at The University of Kentucky
As the state botanical garden of Kentucky, the Arboretum is one of the best places in town to view fall colors. Take a stroll along the 2-mile paved path called, “Walk Across Kentucky”, throughout the gardens and colorful historic trees that line the property. It is open from dawn till dusk every day of the year.
