Mary Todd Lincoln House

This two-story brick house is the girlhood home of former President Abraham Lincoln’s wife, Mary Todd Lincoln. The Mary Todd Lincoln House opened to the public in 1977 and is the nation’s first house to honor a First Lady. The 14-room house includes original furniture from both the Todd and Lincoln families as well as family portraits. A garden was recently added that mimics the original one. The house, at 578 West Main St., is open from March 15 through November 30. Admission is $9 for adults, $4 for children 6-12, and free for children 6 and younger.
