Picadome Golf Course
Lexington's first public golf course, Picadome is an 18-hole range that offers a fully stocked golf shop, a swimming pool, grill, and a banquet room. Lakeside Golf Course
Lakeside is a local favorite and just down the street from Bluegrass Extended Stay. It sits on Jacobson Lake and offers 7,200 yards with large greens, rolling terrain and Bluegrass tees, fairways and rough. At more than 600 yards, hole number nine is the longest par 5 in Kentucky. Tates Creek Golf Course
This city-owned course in the Gainesway subdivision is tight with sloping greens and water hazards on two holes. It includes an aquatic center, banquet room, short game-practice area, golf shop and snack bar. It is open every day but Christmas from 7:30 a.m. until dusk. For more information, call 859-272-3428.
Meadowbrook Golf Course
Meadowbrook is a short course with 18 holes ranging from 87 to 270 yards. Small sloping greens and elevation changes make it a good course for beginners or experienced golfers who want to hone their game. It's a walking-only course; no golf carts are available. Kearney Hill Golf Links
Kearney Hill is a Scottish links-style public golf course with a 10-acre practice area, three man-made lakes, and 71 sand bunkers. You'll find cart paths throughout the course. Kearney Hill is open 8 a.m. to dusk every day expect for Christmas. For more information, call 859-253-1981.
